Love and Other Disasters

I streamed Love and Other Disasters. Thankfully with minor twists here and there saved me from rolling my eyes excessively, and no it isn't just another typical chick flick.

Here are the two quotes from the movie that got me thinking (a lot):

"Have you ever thought that this whole true love thing might be a conspiracy? A capitalist conspiracy. A lie concocted by the Film, Publishing and Music industries. All pushing this thing, this concept that doesn't even exist."

"The point is, everyone is miserable because they're looking for this non-existent thing or else they're miserable because they think they've settled for less."

Frankly, if you ask me, I'm pretty bought by it. I mean, honestly, why do people spend so much time a relationship? Deciphering text messages, playing mind games, talking about the 3C's (Commitment, Compromise & Communication), and a whole lot of other bullshit. Is there really nothing else better in life one can be bothered with or are the emotions we were born with made it a natural behaviour?

Think about it. Love, with all the overreacting, over-thinking, sensitivity, and the horror list goes on. If this is love, I most certaintly don't wanna any of it.
